Social services, i.e., food, clothing, financial literacy workshops, credit restoration, bus passes/gas cards, auto ownership program, and housing referrals

Build and assist in the development of affordable homes, multi-family housing, apartments, and mixed-use facilities.
Transitional and shared housing resources, apartment information for hard to obtain renters (case-by-case basis), and first-time homebuyer resources.
Provide food boxes and groceries to Seniors and low-income families, cook and serve hot meals to homeless individuals/families, and after-school meals to school-aged children through collaborative partnerships.
Resource referrals to minority populations, and others, for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STDs, COVID-19, and Tuberculosis testing.
Who We Are
First Step Community Empowerment (FSCE) is a Faith-based 501 (c) 3 tax-exempt organization that address societal ills in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metropolitan low-income communities through social and economic development. The staff and volunteers have over 50 years of combined social and economic development experience.
Our Mission
FSCE's mission is to address societal ills and social equity with viable resources on a case-by-case basis. FSCE strives to exceed all expectations by providing quality workforce development services for unemployed/underemployed individuals, dislocated workers, and justice-involved persons with comprehensive job placement assistance, social/economic development, capacity building, and resource referrals.
